HELP US OBTAIN OUR GOAL OF ANOTHER TOP 10 FINISH!
Support the Niumalu Ohana as we train and compete to better our top 10 finish at the world’s premiere long
distance outrigger canoe race the Na Wahine O Ke Kai, Molokai to Oahu, September 26th, 2010.

We are writing to you on behalf of Niumalu Outrigger Canoe Club of Kalapaki Bay, Lihue Hawaii. As members of this non-profit organization, it is our club’s foremost desire to join together in body, mind and spirit in order to perpetuate the Hawaiian sport of paddling.
The Niumalu women’s crew is actively seeking sponsorship for the season’s final three races: Dad Center from Kailua to Waikiki, Pailiolo Challenge Race from Maui to Molokai and Na Wahine O Ke Kai, the Molokai Channel Crossing.
The total cost to send a ten member crew, plus our coach, to these three events has been estimated at over $10,000 (see attached budget) per crew. This year’s increase in transportation costs have directly affected the number of competitive crews we can enter in off island races. We are fortunate to have two competitive crews for the women’s Open Division and a highly competitive Senior Masters women crew (50 and up) competing in the off island races. Needless to say, this triples our funding needs.
In order to continue being successful and build our reputation, Niumalu needs your financial support. With a donation of $500 your name will be displayed on our apparel. A primary sponsorship of $1,000 will provide your name and company logo on our apparel, as well as on our canoe as we push over the finish line. Any contribution your organization can make would be greatly appreciated.
Like other sports, outrigger canoe paddling promotes commitment, competition and community. But more than that, it fosters learning about Hawaiian Culture. In sponsoring Niumalu, you would support not only an up and coming sport, but also a long-standing part of Hawaiian tradition.

I would greatly appreciate if you could assist in helping assist these young players achieve their dream of succeeding in football, and helping the parents at the centre in raising enough funds to give their son a fantastic opportunity in achieving a goal, which most young lads all aspire to. The money we are hoping to raise is to provide kit for the players at the centre, so that each player has kit to attend training and matches in. To provide a training kit for each age group, the sum of money is in the region of £500-800 (depending on size of the group between 10 and 20 players) and would greatly appreciate any assistance in raising the funds to do this.
The centre would like to give the opportunity to any sponsors to sponsor an individual age group, a couple of age groups or if it is convenient to sponsor the entire centre. The Centre would like to conduct business in a strictly professional and appreciative manor, Any person or organisation that wishes to sponsor the centre, will get free tickets for Notts County matches, and will get signed merchandise from the club, and the option to visit the centre at any time. The centre do run a website, and sponsors of the centre will be advertised on the website, with the company logo, website link to their page, and a company write up. The option is also there for any sponsor to have their company logo on the players’ kit. If there is any other way in which the centre can show our appreciation, or any other method a sponsor would wish to use then we will be happy to listen and assist in the best possible way.
